Plate Palette is a culinary art project that re-examines our relationship with food, exploring overlooked sensory, personal, and cultural connections by transforming raw ingredients into art.

This project explores Cantonese dishes through a personal lens. As someone who grew up in Guangzhou, these dishes represent more than just tasty delights—they carry cultural meanings and evoke memories of specific times and places.

Through creating art from the raw ingredients of two particular dishes, I aim to re-examine our relationship with food. This project invites me to explore the herbs with all my senses, rediscovering the beauty of raw, unprocessed ingredients in a world dominated by preserved and processed foods. It’s a way to reconnect with nature and reflect on how food shapes not only our identities but also the cultures and societies we live in.
